A necessary thread of what really happened during Vanessa Hudgens March 2020 livestream, (from fans who watched it all and/or watched it live) there will be evidence in this thread to back it up any points made, using clips from that same Q&A live.
2 First of all she went on live to do a Q&A livestream. Having been inspired by her friend who did the same a few days earlier. She did not go on to & #39;rant& #39; or to & #39;preach& #39; anything. She went on to check in with her fans, as she says here at the beginning.
3 Within the first few minutes she tells her fans to be responsible etc as you can see below (as she had been by donating just a few days prior & quarentining). This was not included in the cut that went viral which is what entised false narratives all over twitter & the media.
This is the before that viral cut of the live, where you can see she was talking about how long it COULD last, based on this, somebody commented asking if she thought it would last until July, which she RESPONDED sounded like BS, as in she didn& #39;t think it would last that long.
That is what she meant when she said it was taken out of context, as media outlets said she went on to & #39;rant& #39; that the rules themselves were BS or was complaining about having to stay home til July, which is false as shown in the clips above and with what she was responding to.
With the full clips & context it& #39;s clear she was talking about respecting it enough to follow the rules she was JUST talking about before. What was said after was an unthought through drunken comment & that& #39;s what she apologised 3 times for-on IG, twitter, & to her fans.
A few minutes after that, somebody asks her what she thinks about Coachella being moved to October, the FIRST time it is mentioned during the live, you can see her answer below & how the narrative she was complaining about it (or anything else) was false. https://twitter.com/veepositive/status/1244740492778242048?s=19">https://twitter.com/veepositi...
The live then went on for a long time, continuing answering questions. At the end of the live she said this, the main point she wanted to express, (mirroring what she said at the beginning). She made a drunken comment during, but that was not the main message throughout.
She never valued her freedom above others or said the rules didn& #39;t matter bc deaths happen & #39;anyway& #39;, which is clear when the full 40 minute live is watched. That clip in isolation is manipulative and had everything around it & context purposefully removed.
The person who shared it deleted it, but by then there were multiple false narratives from his cut that blew up. Anyone watching the live would have seen everything, unlike twitter/the media with context missing, including her telling ppl to be responsible & that she was at home.
She had donated to & promoted & #39;Feeding America& #39; BEFORE the live as you can see below & donated even more after. As well as speaking with kids at the children& #39;s hospital. She also went on to raise over $13,000 for & #39;No kid hungry& #39; with her Instagram workout sessions.
She said in her apology video she was quarentining & encouraged others to do the same, this caused confusion & anger bc it & #39;didn& #39;t fit her live& #39;, there were increasing misconceptions around her complaining & coachella, people even used it to bring up her own trauma & grief.
The main lesson was be aware of your influence & how you use your platform, which Vanessa learnt, posting about social justice to this day on feed/stories, (after others had stopped) & encouraged her followers further to wear masks, be responsible & #vote

Fully apologising & LEARNING (unlike celebs who were actually breaking the rules & got off practically scot free). A drunken comment removed from context & pulled from a live where she spread love throughout. After donating & quarentining since the beginning. Spread
