11 years ago (2009) i quit football to work as a warehouse assistant doing stock control and distribution, I also trained as a customs clearing clerk.

2 years later (2011)I quit warehouse assistant job to focus on customs clearing, my new employer saw the potential and sent me

to Martins Drift to open and head the branch. I only did IT ICDL (advanced basics) and COP in long term insurance course at UB and BAC (sponsored by BLIL ) as qualifications,le 2 years experience as warehouse assistant.I went to Martins drift to start my job and boy did I not

become a better person! I was free to work as I please for 12 good months, employers were happy, they then told me I could recruit and train customs entry clerks for them, I saw 5 guys who already knew basics, talked to them to join and they agreed, only talked to them about how

to handle clients/truck drivers and customs officials, how powerful they are. They listened and we formed a powerful team, the year was 2014. The biggest mistake they made was to ask me to invoice clients , our office made 350k a month I got jealous and wanted it for myself

April 2014 heavy rains came, the border closed,all my team went to head office/Gabz n i remained doing nothing at Martins drift, kene kele boss ke amogela 12k . 3 weeks doing nothing the business idea came to me, I panicked. I had already recruited to the company clients that

paid 50k every month, I negotiated salary increment from 12k to 30k babo ba nthaya kere kea ba tlwaela cos ke mosha mo komponeng, I wanted increment atswa from clients i recruited, ok sharp kea le tlwaela. I quickly negotiated with clients if they would support when I quit,

all of them promised, they knew me and my services. I started thinking of the business name, i reserved the name and 3 weeks later my company was registered and incorporated with registra of companies, bank account opened and registered for income tax. I sold my car to get funds

needed for Customs clearing Agent bond as a prerequisite, bond registered with Stanbic Palapye. I submitted an application to customs Martins drift, approved and forwarded to head office GC ko di ileng tsa ema TSI. Kgang ele gore I can not be licensed while employed by another

Agent.I quit with immediate effect but surrending my monthly salary but my employer didn't take it kindly, they wanted 3 months notice to audit me n I agreed. 3 Months kitiki I left, they refused with my release an reference which I needed for excise team to license my company

they held my severance package yet I didn't owe them, financial audit e ithetse ele gore I am clean like a whistle, they had no right to refuse to give me what was mine. I knew more than they knew about their company and I threatened to spill the beans, next morning I got a call

and I was approved, 2014 Oct we started operations, 6 years later we are going strong. With Kazungula ferry opening soon we are about to smile all the way to the bank. We went through so many challenges since we started, ungrateful employees who abused their rights was top but

we weathered the storm. My business plan was straight forward, there are clients I targeted among them BCL, Tati mine, Boseto, Mowana and Morupule but it didn't happen. I had to look at RSA and business relationships did wonders for me. I built a monster and it's bigger than me.

I will forever be grateful to God for showing me the oppprtunity and of cos myself me for being conscious. This company has done great for me, I am starting another project and its financing it, my wife and kids got a place they call home which we are not scared of losing.
