There is a genre of self-expression in literature called the “epistolary” form. It includes all modes of confessional writing like diary-entries, letters, and even autobiographies.

A popular novel that incorporates the epistolary mode of writing is “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” by Stephen Chobsky.

The epistolary form is about expressing the deepest emotions of the mind in writing. So the concept of “letters” in #BTS_BE makes me think that this will be BTSʼ best album so far in terms of songwriting.
