There's going to be a wave of bad discourse about France and Islam today. Before you have takes, please remember you can believe all of the following at the same time:
* Global Islam as a whole has a problem with illiberalism and extreme intolerance of any mockery, criticism, etc.
* Despite this, most everyday muslims are normal, good people just like everyone else
* 'Draw Mohamed' is no longer funny, creative or interesting
* Despite this, a free society should still have the right for people to draw Mohamed, including mocking/sacrilegious images.
* The right to satirize and criticize is at the heart of freedom of speech and liberalism
* Bad French policy partially created the radicalization problem
* Despite this, there is zero excuse for violence in response to cartoons
* France has a history of bigotry towards muslims and much of the reaction to these events will unfairly target normal muslims with racism
