In 2019, a total of 139123 suicides were registered in India.
Of these 66815 men and 25941 women were married.
Using this 66815 you get closer to the 9-minute claim. However, it is dishonest because it assumes all married men die by suicide because of dowry laws.

Men: 141 (0.2% of married men)
Women: 1815 (6.9% of married women)
Total: 1956
So 1 man dies by suicide every 3727 minutes due to dowry related issues.
and 1 woman every 289 minutes.
So by the time 1 man dies due to dowry issues, 12 women die.

So if MRAs really care about men, they could focus on men's health, work rights, financial problems etc.

IPC 498a misuse is a reality and is traumatic for the family. I know 3 people who went through that and fortunately came out of it. But the claim makes it sound like a much worse monster than it really is.
