Me: does the dishes, laundry, vacuums, wipes the floors, takes the trash out, feeds and cleans up after pets and works full time from home.
Mom: You don& #39;t do anything in this house https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😒" title="Unerfreutes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Unerfreutes Gesicht">
My step father: goes to work and drives the car sometimes
Mom: OMG, you are so hard-working https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😍" title="LĂ€chelndes Gesicht mit herzförmigen Augen" aria-label="Emoji: LĂ€chelndes Gesicht mit herzförmigen Augen">
Can I also mention that I contribute to the household financially? https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🙈" title="Nichts sehen-Affe" aria-label="Emoji: Nichts sehen-Affe"> My friends are like "I came back to my parents& #39; home to save up since I don& #39;t have to pay there!". Like, lol can& #39;t relate.
The funny (or not so funny) thing about it all is the fact they did the same thing to my sister when she lived here. Then she moved out and suddenly she& #39;s the perfect child. Oh well.. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😬" title="Grimasse schneidendes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Grimasse schneidendes Gesicht">
Oh right, I forgot to mention that their "argument" to all of this is that I work "for myself" and they work for everyone. Which they don& #39;t because I cover my living expenses myself and I asked countless times if they need more money from me to which they always said no.
I& #39;m sorry for making this thread so long but I deadass want to see what happens when I& #39;m not here and my mom realizes that step gnome doesn& #39;t do jack shit around the house https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💀" title="SchĂ€del" aria-label="Emoji: SchĂ€del"> I got into a fight for pointing that out yesterday, the last time he vacuumed and wiped the floors was--
--last month and it was only because he got into a fight with my mom and wanted to apologize. He hasn& #39;t cleaned a single spoon since then LOL
Yesterday I said to my mom that I have to move out because I can& #39;t take it anymore. And she was like "oh, you HAVE to? Have it your way then". Like yes, goddammit. It doesn& #39;t look like you& #39;re planning to start treating me any better so I either leave or live in toxic negativity.
