The phrase “one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure” comes to mind when I think about the chasm of understanding between Leave & Remain voters. The most painful element of leaving the EU for me is symbolic...

...and this is completely lost on Brexiters. For Leave voters, the EU is simply something to be discarded. It has no value to them and therefore they assume it has no value to anyone else either. I have yet to encounter a Brexiter who comprehends this reality...

...or attempts to put themselves into the shoes of those who wanted to Remain. I feel that something very precious and of great importance has been taken away from me by leaving the EU, and it’s something which has generated a painful sensation of loss...

...That this loss is never acknowledged by Brexiters hasn’t gone unnoticed. In fact mockery & derision of Remainer’s beliefs is more par for the course. Perhaps when Leavers realise that without the consent & cooperation of Remain voters Brexit simply won’t succeed...
