Omg I just heard about the Dune test screening!!! OMG!!! People are already giving it–an unfinished test screening mind you –4/5 and 4.5/5 on letterbox!! And apparently when the film was over the audience broke out into cheering and applauding!!

Someone who didn’t know Dune going in, praised the Baron saying he was his favourite character, a fantastic performance, and a really fun villain. From their frame of reference, the Baron was like if you combined Vader and Palaptine together, so basically Snoke but done right.

ANOTHER UPDATE! Apparently the score by Hans Zimmer is REALLY GOOD, really unique, had lots of Middle Eastern musical influences which is awesome, and, get this–LEITMOTIFS!!!! WE GET LEITMOTIFS!!!

The score is a mixture of electronic and orchestral/instrumental music, with some weird ethereal vocals in it. There is bagpipes, also the opening music was eerie, unique, creeped people out lol. It had some type of clicking noise, and there were alien-like horns used throughout.

Just coming back to add one final update. The guy shared his feelings, gave the film a final rating of 9/10, and he is someone who knew NOTHING about Dune going in.

Stellan, Timmy, and Oscar gave the stand out performances in the movie apparently, which is really exciting! I can’t wait to see their characters and dynamics!
