I'm not dropping Hazbin out of my fandom lists, but I'm sure as hell not following the creator anymore, she's a damn hypocrite. She made all the fuss about feeling disrespected for a shipping event on the anniversary, and yet she says nothing when other shippers are shitting on
Ch@rlastor shippers, posting in the general tag to say it's Ch@ggie day today and forever (quoted off one of them), or in general all the artists she made feel ashamed and horrible for expressing their love for the show via their first ship they got into for it or their fav ship
for the series. If she was so disrespected she could at least have the decency to tell these people to fucking stop. But not only is she not doing that, she's retweeting art that also SUBTWEETS AND DUNKS ON THE EVENT LIKE A PETTY CHILD.
I have no problem with people expressing their feelings on something, but someone with over 1000s of followers should be doing it in a more *private fucking space* so they don't inadvertently sicc an entire fandom on those shippers. You know, the fucking RESPONSIBLE thing to do.
Viv and her fellow crewmember did not do that, they tweeted publicly, via subtweeting, to their followers, who then went and found out what it was about and promptly began to shit on it without any sort of scolding or telling to stop from the shows crew or creator. So much for
the "ship what you'd like and have fun!" and "don't harass others over ships you don't like". This has slammed the door on me actively ever participating in HH fandom if this is what the result is for creators of a specific noncanon ship.
Before people come crawling anywhere near this thread, just know, do I insult her or the crew member anywhere? nope. But I'm sure as hell calling how they both handled this immature, hypocritical, and irresponsible. Bc it is. Period. You are entitled to your feelings, but
you shouldn't post it in a massively public space where you're followers will then do what happened here. You can mute tags without talking about it to your 1000s of followers. You can express your distaste without talking about it where your 1000s of followers will see and do
what happened to the Ch@rlastor day tag and even the general ship tag. Your actions made these creators feel unwelcome. Bc your actions enabled a bunch of other fandom members to then shit on others for having *fun*. You didn't insult the ship, but you did spit in the face of
all of these creators by saying their way of expressing their love for your show was "disrespectful" and "selfish". And I know it wasn't "any ship". You're still rting canon ship art that dunks on the event. It was just about this ship, specifically, and that could not be more
transparent than right now. I'm talking in circles, but thread ended. This was somewhat a vent too, if nobody else could tell. Bc I *hate* seeing shit like this happen when it didn't need to.
