Theres many reasons why they're low, but in all seriousness are they?
Many people now are streaming. Those aren't counted in the particular Nielsen ratings and they're counted in "minutes of watching" not "people watching".
Our dearest Presidente has also groomed everyone into thinking that if ratings aren't high, people don't care. It's psychological warfare.

In 2016, cable news was up 30% than a non-Pres election year.
Sports in Covid has also been out of whack with the calendars.
All in all, you'll see people harping about the dip in TV ratings, its not only MLB, but across the board. However, WS was played in its normal time, and was higher than all events below.
