If you’re going to argue for the retention of car parking at the expense of safe bike lanes, you’re welcome to do that, but be clear that you’re prioritising convenience for motorists over not killing people on bikes.
If people were required to be more explicit about the values underpinning their arguments, it would become obvious how sociopathic many of these positions are. And we’d make decisions that are better aligned with what people actually value.
