As I& #39;m starting to use twitter more, I& #39;m getting the sense that writing tweets might help your speaking skills, because you& #39;re practicing sharing thoughts from inside your head with an audience.
I feel like typing out inner dialogues on facebook posts just isn& #39;t natural. I& #39;ve seen some people do it, but it& #39;s usually because they have a brand and talk about their niche. A facebook post to me seems like a bit more of an event.
On twitter, you can kinda just say whatever comes to mind and people don& #39;t really care. They can tune in if they want to engage, but otherwise, it& #39;s easy to scroll past. Probably because twitter nests replies in "show this thread", I believe.
Nevertheless, the constant possibility of anyone tuning in offers that useful platform for you to practice how you want people to hear you and read you.
Lol if I& #39;m misreading twitter etiquette and it& #39;s actually not normal to do what I& #39;m doing, someone let me know, I& #39;m new. I& #39;m just getting flashbacks to 2011 facebook, when I just joined and my 14 year old classmates told me to stop posting so many statuses.
I believe I& #39;m in the clear though, I& #39;ve seen popular influencers on twitter post lengthy threads before.
