I paid for Morrison. But was taken to Anderson. Even after showing the student nurse my receipt. Her words- “Morrison is for post natal only” I thought oh wow a change in policy then. Cool.
After delivery I showed my receipt to have the midwife ask me like I was a nut why I chose to go to Anderson.

So I got to spend a night and day there and I was completely surprised by how different life is compared to the upper east end of Morrison (M vs A)
1. M uses salt and sugar in their meals. A thinks the % that can not afford M hate salt and sugar.
2. M bathrooms are cleaned frequently more. A had 3 sanitary bins with bloody odd overflowing. But hey, A newborn babies are immune...

3. All showers in M worked. With hot water. A showers had 6 cubicles, 1 had hot water.
4. When security comes to talk to you in A, condescending. Same guard in M, respectful.

Amazing how a few hundred dollars dictates someone’s worth when bringing life into this world. I was lucky enough that the mistake was made to show me how it is for other women. And I was there literally a minute!
