Milan fans in the last few years have always bemoaned about how Milan have been very poor on counters.

This can be attributed to how Milan had players who were slow and could not execute a counter in time before the opposition defence re-organised.
This goal is clear indication of how past players like Suso, Paqueta and Piatek were detrimental to our counter attacks by slowing them down with meaningless tricks or horizontal or backward passes as they do not possess the speed to carry forward a counter.
