Agitation is focusing in on a major contradiction and highlighting it to produce discomfort and force people to internalize and process said contradiction. In that sense, looting is a fantastic form of agitation but it requires active nurturing; we have to own the narrative. https://twitter.com/drunklefty_/status/1321400810115338242
This is why i don't flinch or shy away at looting. Angry, materially insecure people are going to loot. Our we going to distance ourselves from those people so we can win over more comfortable and insulated people who can't empathize with insecurity and the behavior it drives?
If we distance ourselves from looting we are distancing ourselves from people who are in need, willing to act, andengaging intuitively in direct action against capitalism. I would rather own and engage with THOSE people than the comfortably privileged who look down on them.
