"Simp is a misogynistic term used to shame guys who support female content creators"

Okay; is there a female equivalent of simps? Do men cash-in on such "support"? Do female Twitch viewers donate hundreds just to be acknowledged by eboys?
I'm not writing this thread to pass judgement. Just making an observation.

There is a clear imbalance between the kind of content created by male and female streamers, cosplayers and internet personalities in general. It would be straight-up gaslighting to suggest otherwise.
I'm not against camgirls, porn, OnlyFans, etc. I'm a hardliner for the free market; Supply and demand. That's just how it is.

But that won't stop me from criticising the opportunism and profiteering of egirls.
There are a lot of lonely, lovesick guys on the internet. I'm one of them.
The only difference between me and the average "simp" is that I don't feel the need to spend money to get attention from egirls. I overcome such temptations, and recognise that "simps" are being exploited.
"Simps" are addicts. They deserve empathy, help and the chance to recover in the same way any other addicts do.

But a lot of egirls would go out of business if their simps get such treatment.

Egirls profit off the pain and loneliness of simps.
Whether or not shaming them and calling them "simps" is necessary tough love is debatable.

But shutting down such shaming is very profitable for egirls. After all, losing paying customers via recovery is not of interest to a drug dealer.
An egirl will probably take offence to this thread. To be clear, I don't have a problem with you, despite my exaggerated phrasing.

But if merely questioning the morality of your industry makes you uncomfortable, then you have to admit I've got a point.
I'm not here to shame people for making a living. Especially during the era of 'rona. Supply and demand after all.

But the egirl industry is built upon a foundation of male loneliness. It's a problem that must be addressed. If the industry collapses as a result, then so be it.
(If Megumi Bandicoot had an OnlyFans though I'd probably subscribe tbh.)
