Thread!
I don't generally do this (I usually retweet things) but I think we can all agree that life sucks right now. This month for me is hard in particular for personal reasons. Lately I've been turning to #podcasts that I've found funny/ uplifing etc to give me a boost.
Here's a list if anyone needs a laugh or smile. Keep in mind this isn't a full list of what I listen to (it's very long & happy to suggest the others) these are just ones I've turned to lately. Apologies for the 1 per tweet, I wanted to be as in-depth as possible.
@DavidTennantPod: David Tennant talks to people about their lives. I mean...David Tennant what more can you want? Except it's also the people he talks to (some of whom I squeeled over). At turns funny, thoughtful & once or twice LOL. I loved when Judi Dench... Spoilers!
@bufferingcast (Buffering the Vampire Slayer podcast). Episode by episode, season by season it goes through BTVS. It's now up to season 6. It also started before the 2016 election, so keep that in mind. It's queercentric, delves into the issues & they interview the actors :D
Fans of @JulieAndrews/ her daughter @ewhamilton will like @JuliesLibrary where they read #kidsbooks- & get some ideas from kids. Sometimes the authors come by to read or discuss them. Julie Andrews is reading kids books= soothing. Fans of @readingrainbow (like me) would like this
Finally @MythsAndLegends is exactly what the title says it is. The host finds older or lesser known versions of stories we've read. And then there's the stories we have no idea about. And don't get me started on the creatures! 30min episodes so you can easily listen to a few.
Those are all my suggestions for the moment. Again, if you want more, happy to give them.
Bonus: @WestWingWeekly is about The West Wing & since the series & their podcast is over you can listen and/or watch along straight through. Or just watch The West Wing.
