Today one of my 10 year olds asked me, “why can’t we rewrite the constitution? It’s been so long, you can’t even read that thing!!!”

While I’ve dreaded this whole lesson, I never would’ve thought I’d be where I am.

As some believe, I’m in this country taking the job of an American. Yet here I am, empowering and challenging our youth to BE THE CHANGE they want to see.

Learning about slavery in the 1760s and teaching them that SLAVERY still exists had them SHOOK.

Learning how to debate and what a presidential candidate should embody had them SHOOK.

The fact that 10 year olds are fearful of a man becoming President for a second term speaks volumes.

A student came to class upset that her parents voted for tr*mp and the whole class cheered her up.

These kids WISH they could vote, and I am so fucking proud of that!

They don’t know where I stand politically! Even though they assume I’m team #ByeDon, I’m SO happy I don’t come across as one of those IGNORANT Hispanics/women for tr*mp. Literal hypocrites. WAKE THE FUCK UP.
