The focus on "looting" by the mainstream media shows exactly where the power structure's concerns lie. Our lives mean nothing to them, but property- now, that's something different.

It is going to take the most monumental uprooting of capitalism to heal what has been and continues to be done to Black people in and by this country. The devaluation of Black life has deep, rotten roots here.

And it's possible. But y'all, we cannot continue to apply topical reforms to a deep and putrefying wound and think we are going to be okay.

And my question is, because these murders will continue if nothing REAL gets done to change this system, do we even WANT to heal as a country? How much is enough?

I'll just say it and people can take it as they will. I am goddamned tired.
