As a victim of Domestic Violence I was turned away after coming forward about the abuse I endured for 3 years. I was punched, kicked, slapped and assaulted during this time. I finally walked away this year, because I finally understood how
dangerous my situation was, and I knew I needed help. After starting counselling, I started a blog and help service for men and women who have been abused. This was launched at the start of lock down.

They claimed my blog was defamation and harassment. The evidence they presented of harassment was a series of voice notes where I was crying for help about the abuse I endured. The police was confused as to why they even bothered coming to them, and contacted me immediately.
They told me I was not in any trouble at all, but they found their behaviour suspicious and wanted to help me. After 4 weeks, I agreed to a police investigation. I spent 5 hours straight detailing everything I went through and the evidence I had. The investigation started but
after 5 months it was made known to me that they couldn’t investigate at all because it had pasted the 6 month statutory time limit. With domestic abuse relating incidences such as Common Assault you have 6 months to make a report or you WILL be denied an investigation.
After all my years of pain, recovery, growth and healing. I was told I was too late.
I started my petition to help other women and men avoid this sort of heart break. I hope you guys can find it in your heart to sign and share this petition. No one deserves this type of pain.
