Some thoughts now #SeeTheAbility #InclusionRevolution... https://twitter.com/aroundthehorn/status/1321564900519563264
Often we think of inclusion as a way to help someone else, the way someone like Joey can benefit from it. Consider viewing Joey’s life as a way to see how inclusion benefits all. Joey’s inclusion by the Oilers - from when he was a young man, brought in by Wayne Gretzky -
raised awareness, dispelled myths, erased stereotypes. Joey no doubt discovered new skills and abilities, leading to more joy and confidence & a more fulfilling life. But that fulfillment goes both ways.

We talked about it after the show, how moved we were seeing so many pro
players talk about their friendship with him. You can’t read those tweets about Joey showing up at street or pond game - here’s my friend Wayne -and not smile. Those connections- those friendships- are a goal of inclusion. Let them be just the beginning.
One more thing though.

I think this is one of my most watched videos in my Youtube History, it brings me to tears every time. That’s Joey at 4:11 and 4:43. See The Ability. May his soul rest in peace, may his spirit carry on, may inclusion reach all.
