I do not like how many email exchanges I've had with parents that go

"Dear parent, Checking in. Child has turned nothing in at all."

"Dear teacher, You sure? They're on the computer every day and say they are."

"Dear parent, here are screenshots of relevant things. Sorry."

I don't WANT to snitch on my kids like that. I want to have that conversations with the kid. But it's not working like that this year. I don't want parents to have to be embarrassed with these conversations bc I know they're trying their best but it's really hard.
Bleh. BLEH.

I have boundless empathy for what parents are going thru this year. My children who live with me have tried not working (bc they're kids and kids do that) and they only get caught bc I know the system better than they do.
Parents are navigating storm waters right now.
