Serious question for Black folks:
What do real allies do?

Non-black folks please be quiet and listen.
to me:
actually sacrificing opportunities they've gotten from privilege and giving them to me
ex: I've had white friends actually pass on promotions/job offers and recommended me for the job instead.
showing up and asking what can I do for you instead of showing up and assuming you know how to help me already (white savior shit)
Giving me money.
Not demanding emotional labor from me//educating themselves on how to be antiracist
Not supporting racist people & not bringing me into spaces that will be hostile to me.
A great way to learn more about how to be a better ally is to follow BIPOC & ~LISTEN!!!! here's a list i made of Black comrades

Just thought of this & its specifically for non-black POC:

Educate your communities about anti-Blackness. You know your community & you know the ways it perpetuates anti-Blackness & the ways it is complicit in the oppression of Black people. Educate. Call it out. Do something.
