I think it's pretty simple, centrist white suburbanites and young progressives' votes count equally and both are at risk of not voting dem (the former for GOP, the latter third party or not showing up) yet the former is constantly coddled and pander to and the latter is (1/3)

scolded and told to vote harder because the former demo's politics broadly reflect the interests of the rich and latter's doesnt. White suburbanites are thus always evoked as a the holiest of holy demographic we must never offend as a rhetorical shield to defend Wall St and (2/3)

the war industry and young progressives are petulant ingrates we can take or leave. This isnt about sober electoral math, it's about CHOOSING to center one swing voter over another because doing so is more likely to fill the coffers of our revolving-door consultanting class (3/3)
