A thread with a take on the current Woojin Situation. Tw// Woojin, sexual assault, mention of suicide #woojinisinnocent
So it’s your unpopular stay back at it again. I just wanted to explain what I think of the current situation. I like many others were neutral on the situation when it first occurred. There was no hard evidence that could be proven true or false. Now more information has popped up
These things are things I’ve brought up with a friend who is Korean and these are some of the things we wanted to bring up that we could not before. This will all be done in sections so here’s the first section. Being sus of OP
1. op never posted proof that showed her being in korea, in a bar, or even meeting wj. the second op who did post the bar pic was proved to be fake.
Added note #1: Why did the op not reveal what bar she was at? The area she was in? No date? I’ve noticed people say she could not say wjs name due to legal trouble but couldn’t she mention other things? She did give the W, Big 3, hint without mentioning his name directly.
2. op posted her accusations in korean. as a native korean speaker, i can easily tell that she is not a native korean: probably google translated it.

Note: in general the story we were given was vague, though it’s understandable if she didn’t wanna talk about the details much
3. Though this is a weak point why did op not go to the police sooner? If she told friends why didn’t they tell the police?

Note: I can’t blame her for this. It’s hard to talk about. But bringing it to the police after a while could’ve helped. Why only expose him on Twitter?
4. Bars have cameras

It seems obvious and sounds dumb, as you remember there was another op who claimed to have evidence which was proven false. The 10x company worked with the bar and looked at the camera footage to prove wj wasn’t at the place the second op was talking about.
Even the picture the other person posted was already fake. Now what does this have to do with the first op? If she gave the name of the bar/location, and a date, the company could’ve checked with the bar and look through cameras to see if it was true or not.
5. Companies are strict
Idols get kicked for things like dating, and bullying rumors. If 10x ent was able to confirm that op’s story was true they wouldn’t defend wj. That’s bad rep and they’re a young company. Why would a company want an idol who sexually assaulted someone?
Woojin’s Apology

Many thought his apology was inappropriate so I’d like to go over this. As I think it could be interpreted in a different way that most took it as.
Checking your phone to find many threats, and false news about you is shocking, especially if you’re innocent. You’d think “huh? What’s going on?? Why are people believing this crazy rumor about me?” I believe this is why wj said it was an “absurd/crazy/weird” rumor in his post.
The “promotion” part isn’t really a promotion. Most people just assumed it was. When you think about it wj basically says the rumor isn’t false and brings up that he’s been working on his solo stuff and that when it comes along he hopes we’ll like it. That isn’t really promoting.
He’s bringing up what he’s been doing. Saying “This isn’t true bc I’ve been busy with solo stuff.” It isn’t the best thing to say with the situation but it could be him trying to normalize things. Some do that when they are stressed or tough. They wanna move on and back to normal
A Story
You may think “you don’t understand sexual assault.” I’ve been sexually assaulted. But I believed in change. The person who assaulted me learned and even apologized to me. You should give people another chance. Not cancel them and make sure they stay away forever
When this whole thing happened I remained neutral, especially since there was no evidence given and the story was believed to have occurred long ago. I wanted to see what wj would do from now on. People shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions, they should’ve educated people properly
Final thoughts

I thought fans were very immature during this whole situation. Anyone that was neutral or doubted the story due to lack of proof was immediately bullied, threatened to be blocked, called names, and more.
Imagine if wj got depressed because of this, saw no meaning in life anymore and decided to end it all because what was the point if the world was gonna see him as someone he really wasn’t. It’d be all our faults if it happened. And how would you feel being responsible for it.
No one deserves to die. they deserve to be punished but going as far as to sending death threats is rlly unacceptable. It’s ironic how those people are the ones who were calling for awareness after jjong and sulli and hara’s death
Instead of using this to raise awareness what did people do? Assume things were true just because when members posted, “analyze” videos, rip merch and post it, and supposedly “raise awareness” when in actuality most fans said it’s wrong and anyone whose neutral should not exist
Videos compiled of wj being rude and him not having a good relationship w the other members are so arbitrary. Nowadays when i watch videos i see a member acting a certain way i think “ik theyre joking around but i could easily compile these and say the members dont like them”
It’s a reminder that anything you do can be twisted. Pick up something someone dropped? It’d be assumed you’re being nice but in your head you could be thinking you’ll be nice to the person now and then do something to them later. You never know, anything can misinterpreted
Don’t be narrow minded. People jumped into this with a conclusion that wj is an abuser. there was legal documents that proved 10x to be legit yet people still claiming they’re fake. And it was little sketchy, this is a new company, not everyone knows what to do when they start
I’d like to end this off with a quote. “People... seem to believe in.. and nowadays... they’ll believe anything.” Though in general we’ve been told to not always believe everything we hear, anyone could lie about you and make it seem like a fact. Remember that.
#woojinimsorry for all the things you probably went through because of all of this.
