Ties our previous record for deaths. It’s a new record for a Wednesday, 212 above last week’s record.

Here is the info on the dead:
• SLCo female, age 85+, in long-term care
• SLCo female, 45-64
• SLCo male, 65-84
• SLCo female, 65-84, long-term care
(more) #utpol
• Utah Co female, 65-84,long-term care facility resident
• SLCo female, 45-64
• Weber Co female, 65-84
• Millard Co male, 65-84
• Weber Co. female, 65-84

That’s a lot.

Only time they announced 10 was July 13 (not counting the day they had 15, w/ backlogged cases). #utpol
There are 161 new school-associated cases — 13 teachers and 130 students. Total is now 5,975 cases, 785 teachers and 4,457 students.

Here is the school report card, overview, hospital snapshot and epidemic curve. #utpol
Note on hospitalizations … I said they were up 3, with backfilling yesterday’s numbers, we're down 3. Also, note 32 hospitals are using prior-day data. ICUs at 70.4%.

SLCo had 699 cases, Utah Co 315, Davis 124, Weber 126. Here’s comparison chart. #utpol
There were 78 new hospital admissions yesterday — that’s a record.

The number of cases in the past 7 days has grown by 19.4% compared to the prior week, which was 6.2% above the week before.

So it seems like things are getting worse. #utpol
Not saying we’ll continue to increase at 19% (I hope not) ….

But if we do, we can expect about 2,300 cases Friday, 2,750 by the following week.

We’ll have more than 13k cases next week, and avg 1,870 per day.

Hospitals will be screwed, if they aren’t already.
