1/3 Two of the most influential theologians of the last generation, John Piper and Wayne Grudem, have come to sharply differing conclusions about this year’s presidential election. Piper says he cannot vote for Trump or Biden. Grudem disagrees and paints a very dire picture
2/3 of #America if Biden wins. However, these two men model an example of #Christian civility that should both inspire and instruct us all. I believe Grudem gets much the better of the argument. Grudem sent a copy of his critique to Piper prior to publication and Piper responded
3/3 by saying Grudem “had represented him fairly” and assured Grudem he was “a dear friend.” Piper also explained to Grudem how he could make one of his arguments stronger. How refreshing! This is how Christians should disagree with each other. https://www.christianpost.com/voices/a-response-to-my-friend-john-piper-about-voting-for-trump.html
