1) GOD i dont know ..... i tjink probably 90% of the art i make is fanart because i’m mostly. only able to self motivate through hyperfixations. A Lot. that’s my answer.

2) 2 or 3 hours if it’s small or something i feel like i Have to be doing ........ 8+ usually if it’s painted or more serious. been spending that amnt of time on fanart with a strange consistency. tjink my most recent (not the trade w lu) was 11.5

3) i dont think this counts as a trope per se but i loooove drawing and also consuming fanart that references iconic/classical art pieces. like emulating The Kiss for ship art is so overdone at this point but everytime i see it im like Wow.......The Kiss....<:) something abt it.

4) rendering faces i guess. i always get very in the zone doing that stuff and it feels nice

6) since i’m in dn mode recently i have been thinking a LOOT about tanega’s art. they deactivated off tumblr without a trace so trying 2 find their stuff feels like trying to collect fragments of an ancient scroll or something but it’s real good. (1/3)

7) mm looking at these types of questions on this list made me avoid doing it for a bit. i don’t have very good habits i wait 4 the ability and ideas to line up and then i do nothing But draw for that period

9) ive been wantin 2 do a comic about drama L’s compulsory shirt changing and how he does not do it when light touches him since like. mid september! but i still can’t visualize it in full and i’m also not good at laying out panels well. so we will see.

10) spent 70% of creating the misa piece absolutely DESPISING it and i ended up overlaying a lot of different versions of it i had made in order to make it look good which made these little odd colored parts which i reallt do love

13) Once Again my process is not good. i tend 2 spend too much time getting sketches right, then decide whether or not i wanna do lined or painting, then slap a bunch of color filters on at the end. ba boom artwork

16) Music! usually one high energy song on repeat! ive noticed that background talking i don’t care about actually helps me draw better but i must be progressing in the list of media to consume at all times so i can’t just turn on nothingness and zone out bc it feels like a waste

19) draw what you like!!!! what makes you happy!!!! that’s it!!!!! it makes u more vulnerable to very similar pieces but u really should be Enjoying the process of creating.

20) think my judas kiss drawing as far as fanart goes because it has. a lot of the characteristics i described in this thread. also my AP portfolio stuff although those were rushed and i may re-do some.
