To do that, we first need to be aware we& #39;ve created white as default. Authors tend to describe non-white characters by skin tone, and because they haven& #39;t done that with white MCs, it stands out and creates a world where the default skin color is white. #RevPit #10Queries
I see it as a developmental editor. As a white developmental editor, it& #39;s likely I& #39;ve even missed it. This is not okay, it needs to stop, & we are responsible for the harm caused when we do it. We need to do better, and we can do better now that we& #39;re aware. #RevPit #10Queries
