I have a client that overanalyzes everything. I thought I was bad about being an overanalyzer, but she’s got me beat.
After 2.5 years of training, she has come a long way. What’s most obvious to me is that she has gained a shit-ton of confidence in her gym abilities!

We went from doing 3-4 exercises in an hour to 8-12. Although she is still very much interested in understanding the “why behind the how,” she is able to get to work faster & stay in a groove.

She used to stop herself almost every rep of an exercise to ask me if everything looked okay, tweak her position, &/or question things. Thankfully we’ve moved past that stage, but it still pops up from time to time.

As some1 who& #39;s lived w/crippling anxiety, perfectionism, & borderline OCD quirks, I have this innate attention to detail that tends 2 drive me crazy. It comes in handy though, like when I create my programs & books. I tend 2 over-deliver in a world that praises mediocrity.

But enough about me, though. I guess my point there was to say that I “get” people who are wired kinda like I am. It’s cool because I am able to have these “tough love” conversations with them where I’m also really talking to myself.

This morning I was working with the client I mentioned, & she asked me a question in her typical manner (which tells me she just needs reassurance). We were doing hip thrusts & she asked “how do I know if I am pushing enough through my feet?”
