Capitalism is an inherently right-wing and anti-democratic system. To be antifascist is to fight for the rights of workers against capitalism. A thread.
Fascism is capitalism in decay. Antifascism, however, is a movement of liberation; it seeks to not just prevent or combat fascism, but to abolish capitalism and settler colonialism, the only soil in which fascism can grow.
Last weekend's caravan converging at Trump Tower was organized by former NYPD Commissioner/convicted felon Bernard Kerik and right-wing demagogue Heshy Tischler. Tischler was recently arrested for assaulting a reporter during an anti-mask riot. https://twitter.com/andyratto/status/1317601595081842688?s=21
Kareem Lanier, the headliner of the event, billed as "Unite 2 Fight 4 Economic Rights," is a pro-Trump "Black outreach" leader to "Urban America." His organization, Urban Revitalization Coalition, Inc. had their tax exempt status revoked by the IRS

These grifters, criminally corrupt officials and demagogues are the backbone of the Trump coalition (Kerik was pardoned by Trump). The "economic rights" they fight for are for their class background only.
The economic class they represent is that of the upper middle class. These speakers are firmly opposed to union organizing, tenant organizing and Medicare for All, policies that would greatly enhance the well being of the working class.
This event boasted demographically diverse speakers, but these representatives of capital do not aim to uplift all members of the African-American, Jewish or Pan-Asian communities, only their economically well-off reactionary members https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1320732710525038593?s=21
The so-called diversity of the speakers is an empty mirage, a shield to protect themselves from criticism and cow liberal voices into submission.
While it is often the liberal center that is accused of identity politics, the right most cynically employs empty racial symbolism.
Right-wing politics are capitalist politics in their most naked form. While the Republican Party embraces white nationalist grievances, the Democratic Party as incarnated in a potential Biden administration has refused the policies needed for a thriving multiracial working class.
Antifascism is anti-capitalism. While the forces of reaction are most aligned with Trump and the GOP, both political parties are beholden to capital and its interests.
Antifascism seeks liberation for the working class by abolishing the predatory, exploitative system of capitalism.

While capitalism seeks to exploit workers, antifascism seeks their liberation. For updates please give @nycRPM a listen on antifascism https://twitter.com/nycrpm/status/1321254643528355842?s=21
