Okay so I'm in the mood to just put out some positivity. SO I wanna make a thread just gushing about my favorite movie ever made and why I love it so much. I encourage anyone else who's interested to do the same! Let's talk about the things we love and why they make us happy!
So my favorite movie ever made is Much Ado About Nothing (1993). It's an adaptation of the Shakespeare play of the same name and I absolutely ADORE this film. It brings me so much joy every time I watch it. It's near impossible for me to not be in a good mood once it starts up.
It's directed by Kenneth Branagh, who some may know for his Other Shakespeare film Adaptations of Hamlet, Henry V, and he even directed the first Thor Movie!
So ...... where to start? Got it! Buckle up kids this might take a bit.

I originally wanted to just type out the plot in this thread but then I realized that would be wayyyyyyy to long. SO that's gonna get posted on a different Tweet. ANYWAY, Let's get to the GOOD SHIT! First off...THE MUSIC.
*breathes in* HOLY SHIT DO I LOVE THIS SOUNDTRACK
Every time I hear this opening I get so excited
It's so bombastic and joyful and epitomizes what this movie is about!

There's even aspects of that opening that re-occur in various parts of the film! Such as here:
It's a beautiful score and I absolutely adore it. So what's next? CINEMATOGRAPHY and the SHOOTING LOCATION

MY GOD. Both of these elements are so fantastic and the are so beautiful to look at. I highly recommend just appreciating the beauty of this location, they seriously take full advantage of it in this movie and I adore it. 10/10 eye candy would watch again. Next up... CHARACTERS!
For the sake of brevity I just wanna talk about my stand outs:
Claudio is baby and if anyone hurts him I will cry. But seriously Robert Sean Leonard is amazingly talented and I love him in this role. Benedick and Beatrice are played by Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson.

The two were actually married at the time of filming! Their chemistry is fantastic (no brainer) and they both show fantastic range. (Also Imma be honest, Emma Thompson is GORGEOUS in this film, just LOOK AT HER! Tbh everyone in this film is mad attractive and that's a fact)
Now for the big one: Keanu Reeves as Don Jon. He is probably the weakest actor in this film, but is simultaneously one of the best parts. He plays so well into the hammy villain that it's so fun to watch. I could literally recite his lines with him if you asked me and I would.
His line deliveries are ICONIC and I adore that we have KEANU REEVES IN A SHAKESPEARE MOVIE! If that doesn't sell this to you nothing else will.
This movie goes between silly and fun, wholesome and adorable, to dark and dramatic almost seamlessly. Is it overdramatic at times? Yes. Is it silly? Yes. This movie is so god damn memorable and I love it.
I adore this movie for all it's success and all it's faults.

This was really fun! I hope y'all enjoyed my insane rambling, and I seriously hope any of you go and check it out.
It holds a very special place in my heart
