Here is a complete breakdown of cases, hospital admissions, ICU admissions and deaths by age for the last 3 months ish (August 1st to October 27th) in Ireland.

I've included a comparison to the first 3 months of pandemic (to May 31st) so you can see the progression.
February 29th - May 31st:

0-4 years old:

Cases: 153
Hospital admitted: 19 (10.2%)
ICU admitted: 0 (0.0%)
Deaths: 0 (0%)

August 1st - October 27th:

0-4 years old:

Cases: 1,052
Hospital admitted: 19 (1.8%)
ICU admitted: 1 (0.1%)
Deaths: 0 (0%)
So, for babies and toddlers, you can see in the early pandemic 10% were admitted but that has dropped to 1.8% in last 3 months.

This partly because Covid19 was very new in early March and throughout Europe babies were admitted on a precautionary 'better safe than sorry' basis.
February 29th - May 31st:

5-14 years old:

Cases: 309
Hospital admitted: 17 (5.7%)
ICU admitted: 2 (0.7%)
Deaths: 0 (0%)

August 1st - October 27th:

5-14 years old:

Cases: 2,661
Hospital admitted: 21 (0.8%)
ICU admitted: 2 (0.1%)
Deaths: 0 (0%)
You see a similar difference in 5-14 with the % admitted dropping markedly, as hospitals understood what they are dealing with as the pandemic progressed and they became more adept at triaging decisions for patients.

No child under 14 has died thanks to our doctors & nurses.
February 29th - May 31st:

15-24 years old:

Cases: 1,824
Hospital admitted: 72 (4.0%)
ICU admitted: 5 (0.3%)
Deaths: 1* (0.1%)

August 1st - October 27th:

15-24 years old:

Cases: 7,989
Hospital admitted: 48 (0.6%)
ICU admitted: 1 (0.0125%)
Deaths: 0 (0%)
*When you read the HSPC report from May 31st it lists 2 deaths. 1 of those was subsequently denotified.

Deaths are thankfully zero in 15-24 since August 1st, which is quite unusual in Europe not to have at least 1, and this again reflects brilliance in ICU's in Ireland.
February 29th - May 31st:

25-34 years old:

Cases: 4,185
Hospital admitted: 198 (4.8%)
ICU admitted: 15 (0.3%)
Deaths: 5* (0.15%)

August 1st - October 27th:

25-34 years old:

Cases: 5,514
Hospital admitted: 67 (1.2%)
ICU admitted: 2 (0.04%)
Deaths: 2 (0.04%)

*1 denotified.
Both hospital admissions and deaths have declined in the 25-34 age band but it is clearly still a very serious illness that has claimed the lives of 2 young people since August and hospitalised dozens.

It's not something you want to get.
February 29th - May 31st:

35-44 years old:

Cases: 4,385
Hospital admitted: 254 (5.8%)
ICU admitted: 34 (0.8%)
Deaths: 10 (0.23%)

August 1st - October 27th:

35-44 years old:

Cases: 4,583
Hospital admitted: 64 (1.4%)
ICU admitted: 10 (0.2%)
Deaths: 0 (0%)
There have been no deaths 35-44 since August for one reason alone - ICU doctors and nurses expertise in guiding 8-out-of-8 through ICU.

There have been 2 admittance to ICU in recent weeks, they are in safe hands, so touch wood for those people.
February 29th - May 31st:

45-54 years old:

Cases: 4,476
Hospital admitted: 440 (9.9%)
ICU admitted: 83 (1.9%)
Deaths: 23 (0.5%)

August 1st - October 27th:

45-54 years old:

Cases: 4,255
Hospital admitted: 98 (2.4%)
ICU admitted: 9 (0.2%)
Deaths: 5 (0.12%)
5 deaths in 45-54 since August, RIP. That is no sort of age to be gone at.

The lower ICU admissions reflects many factors including:

-vulnerable people protecting themselves better
-improved treatments in hospital
February 29th - May 31st:

55-64 years old:

Cases: 3,197
Hospital admitted: 481 (15.7%)
ICU admitted: 119 (3.7%)
Deaths: 59 (1.9%)

August 1st - October 27th:

55-64 years old:

Cases: 3,146
Hospital admitted: 132 (4.2%)
ICU admitted: 20 (0.65%)
Deaths: 10 (0.32%)
You can see again in this age band the impact of vulnerable people protecting themselves better.

However, 1-in-25 cases are still admitted to hospital and 1-in-6 of those into ICU, so it underscores how serious this illness remains.
February 29th - May 31st:

65-74 years old:

Cases: 1,777
Hospital admitted: 575 (32.0%)
ICU admitted: 105 (6.0%)
Deaths: 200 (11.1%)

August 1st - October 27th:

65-74 years old:

Cases: 1,568
Hospital admitted: 171 (11.0%)
ICU admitted: 38 (2.4%)
Deaths: 20 (1.3%)
The virus itself has not significantly weakened, that's the position of WHO and ECDC.

People with underlying conditions have protected themselves better with masks and social distancing, allied to improved treatments.

It still hospitalises 11% of people in this age band.
February 29th - May 31st:

75-84 years old:

Cases: 2,261
Hospital admitted: 748 (33.8%)
ICU admitted: 39 (1.7%)
Deaths: 476 (41.1%)

August 1st - October 27th:

75-84 years old:

Cases: 795
Hospital admitted: 171 (21.3%)
ICU admitted: 13 (1.6%)
Deaths: 46 (5.8%)
75-84 you see a dramatic shift.

First of all, there's nearly 300% less cases than Spring, in part due to low levels of community infection in August/September, helping to protect nursing homes from outside.

It also reflects people protecting older relatives in the community.
February 29th - May 31st:

85+ years old:

Cases: 2,334
Hospital admitted: 476 (20.4%)
ICU admitted: 6 (0.3%)
Deaths: 614 (26.3%)

August 1st - October 27th:

85+ years old:

Cases: 449
Hospital admitted: 88 (19.6%)
ICU admitted: 1 (0.25%)
Deaths: 43 (9.9%)
We see a society protecting themselves better as time progressed, plus world class doctors and nurses, armed with improved treatment options, keeping people alive.

You still do not want to get this virus.

-Mask
-Wash hands
-2 meters
-Cough into elbow
-Ventilate rooms
