The outreach lady from a local 'prevention' nonprofit hit me up to say they are starting to go out again, and if I have anything to report.
I stressed that the drug supply was whack, overdoses are rife and to carry plenty of narcan.

They were like "we usually only carry one narcan, but do you have any bad dates to report we can warn people about?"

They really don't get it.
I was under the impression they at least gave out narcan, but I guess not. They do give out 'needle bleaching kits'.
I pushed back that they need to at least carry more than one dose at a time because it can take more than one!!
Idk if I would call this org an 'end demand' org. They are a service provider, whose workers have varying views but their policies are probably based in end demand.
Like yeah, bad dates are part of the violence street based sex workers face.

Let's not forget about cops tho.

Frustrated that service providers don't want to help with the material conditions to make situations safer for people who trade sex.
All they have is their fucking 'New Choices' program, which they say isn't dependent on 'exiting' but it is encouraged/assumed.

I'm guessing it requires sobriety as well.
I remember when I made a bad date reporting line and they jumped on it, trying to get me to give them the log in information.

Like, no, I paid for this myself. I'll gladly share safety info, but this is MY project (or my community's project, not for nonprofit consumption).
And also, after not contacting me for MONTHS, the least you could do is see how im doing.

What if I wanna 'exit'?

They know I'm an indoor sex worker.
Brb, im asking them if they did indeed expand their housing resources age range.

Keep your friends close...
She says she doesn't think so but will check.

I'm just wondering when they will have access to this money?
Okay, so it's a rapid rehousing grant from the city.
