a domestic taekook concept where taehyung picks a niche hobby like knitting and he's sorta terrible at it and he makes a knobbly scarf for jeongguk as a present.

"uh, tae, are you seein—" jimin starts.

"I love it!" jeongguk cuts through.

taehyung's pleased smile is worth it.

taehyung just filling up the bedroom with unused threads and jeongguk, neat freak and hater of messes slowly picking it up and storing it away 'cos he's sorta, totally, completely fond.

"guk, what do you think of this dog," taehyung says and picks up the sweater he'd been trying

to sew for the past ten minutes.

that's a dog? jeongguk thinks. outwardly, he says. "looks great, babe."

sure, it looked indescipherable but taehyung looks so pleased with himself so how could saying a little white lie like that be harmful?

taehyung making little crochet coasters that are more shapeless than circle and jeongguk reminding himself everyday to use it for his morning coffee mug.

like, it did resemble a squashed mash potato but it was colourful and made by taehyung so why not?

taehyung kisses him silly one day.

"what's this for?" jeongguk laughs, circles his arm around taehyung's waist as he holds him closer. "don't get me wrong, 'm not complaining."

"just you're the best boyfriend ever," taehyung punctuates his statement with a kiss and jeongguk

gets a little embarassed by how quickly he flushes at that. he always felt so many things when taehyung gave him a compliment.

"oh?" jeongguk teases. "nice to be reminded."

"no," taehyung laughs, kisses him on the cheek once. on his nose. boops it lightly with his own. "I love

you so much."

"where's this coming from, lover? you feelin' needy?" jeongguk asks as taehyung keeps pressing chaste kisses across his face. he's toasty warm and taehyung is a lovely weight on him.

"you're just so good," taehyung says and he sounds teary. "i know I suck at

knitting but like," taehyung presses his face into jeongguk's neck and the other thumbs at the small of his back, tries to reassure him as best as he can. listens. waits patiently. "but you're just /so/ good. you wore the stupid scarf everyday and used the coasters and hung the

stupid sweater dog in our living room."

"babe, i know jimin the dog looks shapeless but I've grown to love him." jeongguk presses a kiss to the top of tae's head. "don't tell jimin i called your knitting disaster after him, though."

taehyung gives a watery chuckle.
