When They See Us (2019) - This powerful 4-part @netflixuk series is based on the true story of the Central Park Five; the wrongful conviction of five African-American teenagers, underlining the inherent racism and injustices within the criminal justice system.
The Uncomfortable Truth (2017) - When filmmaker and son of civil rights activist Loki Mulholland dives into the institutional racism plaguing the US he discovers his family contributed to it 400 years prior. A comprehensive, insightful and honest exploration. @primevideouk

Queen of Katwe (2016) - @DisneyPlusUK presents Queen of Katwe, based on a vibrant true story and starring Lupita Nyong'o and David Oyelowo. A Ugandan girl’s life changes forever when she discovers she has an amazing talent for chess, in this celebration of the human spirit.
Racism: My Story (2020) - A powerful documentary from @channel5_tv offering British perspectives on race in 2020, following the murder of George Floyd.
Becoming (2020) - A behind-the-scenes @netflixuk doc chronicling first ever Black First Lady, Michelle Obama’s life, hopes and connections. Following her on her book tour, she discusses how, as a black woman, she overcame invisibility and inequality by using her voice.
Rise Up: The Movement that Changed America (2018) - This one-hour documentary explores the key battles in the Civil Rights Movement that transformed American society and uncovers what it took to translate protest into real legislative change. @NOWTV

No Justice, No Peace (2020) - A documentary on the struggle against police brutality and racist violence in California, centring around the efforts of more than 30 families of police brutality victims. @channel5_tv
Althea (2014) - Trailblazing story of Althea Gibson. Raised on the rough streets of Harlem, Althea was queen of the 1950s segregated tennis world, the first African American to play and win at Wimbledon, win a Grand Slam Title and break the colour barrier. @SkyTV
Little Fires Everywhere (2020) - Based on the prized novel, this series follows the intertwined fates of a picture-perfect family and a mother and daughter who upend their lives. It depicts parallels of race and class through the everyday obstacles minorities face. @primevideouk
