A thing I've suspected and have been working on a while now ... Giving people opportunities opens them up to other opportunities. When someone gets a sponsored vid, or codes, or press kits, that otherwise doesn't,
it increases the likelihood they'll get more of those over time. And they see growth, both in channel size and community health, but also in confidence and content quality and breadth of content. Both in what coverage you'll see in their channels, but then overall as well.
Which isn't to say you can help every channel every time (there aren't enough kits/codes/money/etc), but efforts should be made. I feel like we'll see some interesting stuff today from some great UK creators that helps us all find ways to improve more.
This applies in general to life, but we shouldn't assume we're always doing things the best possible way. There are always ways to improve, and we shouldn't be so precious that we won't listen to others and change. Change is good!
I'm extremely tired today and probably could have phrased some of this better but I hope my core point comes across anyway.... (And when I'm sitting on a thought, sometimes it HAS to come out)
And this is specifically about what I work in, but by god it applies to so many other things in life, really 🤷‍♀️
