One of my friends messaged me asking “Are you a they now?” and I can’t shake how it made me feel. I don’t think they intended to be hurtful, but it still hurt.

So to all the ppl who may see this, if u wanna ask someone their pronouns, Im putting suggestions in this thread

“I thought I heard someone use diff pronouns to refer to u than wut I’ve been using. What pronouns would u like me to use for you?”

“I just noticed ur email signature says u use they/them pronouns. That’s great! I’ll be sure to change how I refer to & think of you!”
