As an alternative to our video-based support chats, we are introducing a new text-based option over Discord for all disabled, chronically ill, Deaf, hard of hearing, neurodivergent, mentally ill, and/or Mad folks. We are inclusive of all disabilities and respect self-diagnosis.

Our open-ended theme for the first meeting this month, on Wednesday, October 28 between 5:30 and 7:00, is "Community Check-In." This chat is facilitated by Kat, co-coordinator. She has multiple physical, sensory, and mental health disabilities.

Participants will need to create an account on Discord ( http://discord.com/new ) before joining the chat. Discord has some built-in text-to-speech features, which can be found in "User Settings" under "Text & Images", and then clicking the "Text-to-Speech" option.
