The problem a lot of educated Nigerians have is they think only illiterates are being manipulated by politicians(& their agents) using religion

They think religious manipulation is "God said you should obey me" told to illiterates

Nope - It is also "Bad people don& #39;t forgive"

The bulk of us learnt our morals in Sunday school - You were programmed with "keeping malice is bad", "unforgiveness is bad" etc

I see it used against educated people here all the time - & it works because people haven& #39;t interrogated their biases so they are blindsided

Governance is NOT a religious exercise

Keep your forgiveness in your personal relationships & personal behaviour

When it comes to organising society for optimal results, bad behaviour MUST be punished

There is a reason all societies have prison systems & offenders records

You are harming yourself by allowing people to aid the destruction of your life for years & then giving them a "get out of jail free" card to keep in their back pockets

You have incentivised bad behaviour which harms you by removing the repercussions
