first let& #39;s start off by saying that ed co wrote the song along oliver frank. this is what ed had to say about the track:

here& #39;s what I think;
"we made a start be it a false one I know" - they started a relationship not knowing where it was going to end up. maybe like a "hey let& #39;s try it out and see where all this leads us" kind of thing.

"a long way from the playground" - metaphor for stage (?)
