the premise of Animaniacs is that Warner Bros. Entertainment keeps three children prisoner in a water tower
the reason is never given but I assume the coincidence of their names ("the Warner brothers and Warner sister") points to some kind of intellectual property battle or disputed inheritance, like the kidnapping of a prince
there are at least three employees dedicated to their imprisonment but also their medical and psychiatric well-being, suggesting that they are to be eventually freed in reasonable health
why is nobody talking abuot this
just realized that their designation as "maniacs," and their willingness to refer to themselves as such, suggests that the psychiatrist might be some elaborate gaslighting stagecraft to convince the children that they are mentally unwell. disturbing
come to think of it all of the recurring characters are organized around the themes of imprisonment, punishment, toxic attachments, and false personae. animaniacs is a michael haneke film
