My career path is Global Affairs and let me tell you it’s not fucking easy especially being a woman. Speaking politics is typically seen as a man’s place and you rarely see women speaking about global security maybe human rights but rarely security and sometimes I feel insecure.

My friend sent me this Instagram post to give my opinion about it he’s also a male. This thread isn’t about these Newsweek magazine covers and the meaning behind them but the fact I only ever see men commenting, giving their opinion on global affairs pertaining to security

We need way more women occupying these spaces because maybe there will be less wars, less conflict, less extremism, and way more collaboration and peace!
