lets talk about that carrd going around saying neopronouns and xenogenders are valid and are transphobic and ableist
first of all i would like to say i am a non-binary trans and autistic so i have all the rights to talk about this :D
first: the carrd opens talking about how neopronouns were born and explain how they were made by cis people and they were basically degrading.
society evolves, even if the first recorded use of neopronouns was transphobic it doesn’t mean that now society uses them the same way. It just shows the bad representation there is for neopronouns in history
second: the carrd literally contradicts itself several times and also links sources that also contradict the carrd
neopronouns are there to comfort people and make a lot of people be more comfortable with themselves, their pronouns and society. They literally hurt nobody and not supporting them is what would make an autistic person insensitive
dont make autistic people (or anyone) feel like they are being insensitive for letting someone express themselves comfortably and freely
now even tho the kpop part is true and you should not use kpop artist as your gender the first part is far from true
neopronouns and xenogender ARE necessity. as i said before they are there to make someone feel good about themselves, to feel good about the way they present themselves and they way people socialize with them. As a nd person u should know there’s a lot of people than
sees themselves represented by stuff they like, this hurts nobody and makes the person feel so much comfortable in themselves so why would u not want them to have xenogenders
I agree nobody should receive death threats but this kind of people are the one’s excluding other perople from their own community just because they dodon’t understand something
It’s not trans people, people who use neopronouns or xenogenders the ones at fault for this. You shouldn’t blame this people for getting harassed but the ones harassing them
They do not. Actually they help visualize it even more, including other neutral terms that a lot of people use and feel validated by
now this. labels are made to both communities and comfort someone, neopronouns and xenogenders do both. The fact that is hard to understand for autistic people does not mean it should not exist, it just means it should be explained better and there should be more resources
I’m saying this an autistic person. If something is difficult for me it does not mean i have to invalidate someone else’s feelings, just take my time and get as much help aa i can to understand, or just mind my business
anyways, xenogenders and neopronouns are valid, and they aren’t either transphobic nor ableist. check this carrd to learn more https://xenogenders.carrd.co
if there’s anything you think i should add to this thread let me know!!
also english isn’t my first language so sorry if there’s any mistakes
wtf i fucked up first thing dkjdd i meant the carrd that say that the arent*** not that they are
