now i don’t think of myself as a Vergil expert but i think i could possibly make a case for every song from Sing The Sorrow being about him in some way
people who have more fully formed headcanons about him could do this easier but alas my previous time spent in this fandom was heavily about Dante headcanons i am so sorry
clasps hands
Bleed Black is actually on my V playlist but i think that counts, right??
i don’t need to say anything about this one you all will understand
-Dancing Through Sunday, ok suffocation and feelings of entrapment are right there
GIRL’S NOT GREY IS NOW A DV SONG AND YES I *DO* MAKE THE RULES!! “what follows me as the whitest lace of light” Dante, *perceived* as a light to Vergil’s *perceived* darkness
“what follows has led me to this place where i belong” and their cycle of chasing one another
actually Death Of Seasons probably could go on the V playlist too but i have too many AFI songs on there already

let’s talk about all the work “killed off by the weakness but forced to return” does here
despairing nostalgia & more Nelo Angelo moments in The Great Disappointment
AFI, boys, did you know what you were doing when you put “inside a crumbling effigy” to paper
VERY 3V OF YOU
THIS CELLULOID DREAM IS MY FAVORITE SONG ON THIS ALBUM SO I WANT TO DO THIS RIGHT...

i think this is actually a pretty sweet DV song and i see it fitting very nicely across DanV and into the DV happy ending post-5
+the bridge really gets me thinking about DV and how they’re incomplete when they’re apart
(also i could probably get away with putting This Celluloid Dream on the DanV playlist if i need more tracks...)
Sing The Sorrow aka the DMC1 album
theater imagery for flavor but i’m REALLY into the chorus and thinking about Vergil looking younger and less physically worn than Dante because he’s been fractured apart and existing outside of time and space
