Beyond the fissured workplace / misclassification issues that are covered in the thread, the comment heralds an approach that emphasizes *fair* competition as a primary goal of competition policy and of the FTC (which is true to its original purpose!);
That highlights how unregulated vertical restraints enable gig economy platforms and other powerful firms to dominate other market actors including workers;
And that clearly and unabashedly embraces positive outcomes for workers--including crucially low-wage workers--as a goal of competition policy!

Bravo; this is what american workers, and high road businesses, and ultimately the economy as a whole, need!!!
