even nightmare has visuals of fire in the music video, and halsey specifically said that song started as a poem....... and because h has mentioned that the book discusses a good chunk of her life, that would make IWLMIIC the record of the wreckage in her life

you might be thinking, if the flames are inside her head, why are they drawn way below in her concept map? this is possibly bc her flames have entered the outside world through her sharing her poetry. or, the flames on the map are artistic inspiration that she takes in to create

she has mentioned that she finds it easiest to write about things she hates/things that are upsetting, that her demons beg her to write them -- her creative inspiration comes from hell.
