Kinda curious. A small rant just for the evening before getting back to work. Being a woman in certain trades such as the car or gun industry. Bot being taken seriously. Jobs passed along because they feel clients won't want to work with you. Being spoken to as if we don't know--
What we are talking about. Owning a leather crafting shop and having customers coming in asking for the real owner. "Where's your husband?" Being in disbelief when you say you're the leathersmith. Having people ignore you when you ask about purchasing a car or motorcycle..
I'm sick and tired of people assuming the type of person I am based on my sex. Assuming my weaknesses, intelligence, or skills. Expecting me stay at home and be a mom rather than have a career. Watching all the guys go to Deer Camp exclaiming "no women allowed, women don't hunt".
I'm so sick of walking into a hardware store and having someone try to explain to me what type of adhesives I need when it's already in hand.

I'm not saying men don't have similar struggles. This is just some of many things I've had to deal with being a short female.
So if you have read this far on this short rant, it brings me to my curious thought. Ladies of all types! What have you experienced in your life? Please, this is not a hate thread. I want people to see just what some things women experience to show, you aren't alone.
I dunno. I'm tired. This month has been long. Whole year has been hell. Let's see where this thread goes. I'm just grumpy and tired of being quiet.
