Black thought: a EXTREMELY skilled rapper and lyricist. He’s part of (again) possible the greatest hip hop group ever (the roots) and the main face of the rapping group. He’s shown MULTIPLE times about how his rapping ability far surpasses most rappers in the game today.

8: Mos Def. At his best this man has one of the greatest hip hop songs ever (Mathematics) as well as an easily top tier project (black on both sides) and also being part of Black star a duo team with well known rapper talib kweli and made one of the greatest collaborations ever.

He’s shown his rapping ability to full extent over the years and has shown he is TRULY one of a kind.

7: Jay Z. Jay z has shown time and time again why his penmanship is in a class of its own, also having possible the strongest discog in rap history just goes to show the brilliance behind this GOAT.

6: Biggie. You can consider this man one of the true “faces” of hip hop (of course along with pac) and his discog only goes to prove that point. His game is INCREDIBLY high and really did set the standards of N.Y rap and showed how for a while, this king was undefeated.

2: Ghost face Killah. The main reason I have GFK up here not only for his penmanship but also for being the best MC in a group of top 15-25 artist. Ghost face has shown time and time and time again why he’s game is NOT to be trifled with and why he is the best of tha best.
