whispers maybe instead of saying 'wow the left is using alt right tactics now', maybe instead mention the fact that the social media sites that we use reward aggression and divisiveness with likes and comments and therefore more eyes on said methods
like. how about let's not paint leftists- no matter their online tactics -as the same as the right, and often like literal n*zis, ok? is that hard?

we can talk about how these techniques of online abuse ARE abusive without equating a marginalised group to their oppressors
'theyre the same tactics though!', yeah, because that's rewarded by the online systems and communities available to us, the alt right just happened to abuse these systems first, doesn't mean we can compare anyone who does similar to them.
